perfect day.

(reading John Keats under an oak tree on a perfect fall day--
"Thou wast not born for death, immortal Bird!
No hungry generations tread thee down..." from Ode to a Nightingale

plus this

(Joshua playing Debussy <3)

and this
(whole grain waffles with nutella, strawberries, and bananas plus an unseen cup of chai tea)

make my day just perfect.
anyone else enjoying the fall as much as I am?
I'd love to hear your ideas of ways to spend these beautiful fall days. :]

  1. Hi! Nice to see you again! I think all those things sound lovely! To me, fall is sitting at my desk, with some lovely relaxing music, bundles of layers, and a stack of letters to write. When it's nice outside, I like to go for a short walk.

  2. Laura! :D
    It's been so long!
I love the idea of reading books under trees. So artsy and such. But I find it's not very comfortable :(

  3. How to spend a perfect Fall day? Take a long, meditative hike alone.

  4. hike to some larches
    wear a grey sweater
    make caramel apples
    rake leaves
    jump in said leaves
    carve pumpkins
    roast pumpkin seeds
make a care package for your friend in Sweden
put together a autumn crossword with bananagrams
    drink apple cider
    wear thick, fuzzy socks
watch a black and white movie
    ...that's how I celebrate fall day (:

  5. reading Fitzgerald, writing long letters about things that matter, drinking cappuccinos and basking in the crisp, orangey sunlight so characteristic and appropriate of cool october days

  6. nice to see you back! Please keep posting! You've inspired me for a perfect day post :)

  7. you make me smile!
